Determines whether indoor products meet indoor air quality standards and certifies them and lists them on the website when they do.  The website has information on how to become Greenguard certified and lists of products that are.

 

EPEAT

Helps people to shop for electronics based on their environmental qualities.  Qualified products are rated bronze, silver, or gold based on 28 criteria.

 

Virginia Green

A statewide program run by the Virginia Tourism Corporation and the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality, supporting green tourism by certifying eco conscious tourism business such as restaurants and hotels.

Virginia Native Plant Society

Discusses the benefits of growing native plants when landscaping.  Some of its resources include a list of reputable nurseries, questions to ask to assure that the plants you are buying are native, and brochures with tips to native gardening.
